Sangli girl Smriti Mandhana on Wednesday, November 6, made a comeback to International Cricket after being out due to a toe injury, and how!
She was India’s leading run-scorer, putting 74 runs on board off 63 balls. And while she did this, she became the 3rd fastest woman in the world to cross 2000 ODI runs, in 51 innings, after Belinda Clark and Meg Lanning respectively. She’s also the 2nd fastest Indian to achieve this feat just after Shikhar Dhawan, who did the same in 48 innings. Smriti won the Player of the Match award.
