Twitter reacts to Smriti Mandhana crossing 2000 ODI runs

Sangli girl Smriti Mandhana on Wednesday, November 6, made a comeback to International Cricket after being out due to a toe injury, and how!

She was India’s leading run-scorer, putting 74 runs on board off 63 balls. She’s also the 2nd fastest Indian to achieve this feat just after Shikhar Dhawan, who did the same in 48 innings. Smriti won the Player of the Match award.

Social media was filled with messages appreciating Smriti’s stunning knock and the feat of being the first Indian woman to cross the 2000 run mark. Here are a few tweets showing how people reacted –

We cant wait to see more from Smriti and wish her the best for the T20 series against the Windies starting on November 9.
