The 2026 edition will be the most expansive Women’s T20 World Cup ever, with a total of 33 matches played over 24 days across seven prestigious venues in England:

Bristol County Ground, Bristol
The Oval, London
Lord’s Cricket Ground, London

The road to the trophy will lead to the capital:

Semi-Final 1: 30 June – The Oval, London

Participating Teams in Women’s T20 World Cup 2026

This year’s edition will feature 12 international teams, making it the largest Women’s T20 World Cup in history. As of now, eight teams have secured their place:

India
Pakistan
Sri Lanka
South Africa
West Indies
New Zealand (Defending Champions)

The remaining four spots will be filled through the Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier in 2025, adding even more intensity and anticipation to the lead-up.

Pathway to the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026:

Bangladesh and Scotland Secured automatic Qualifications to the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier for the 2026 edition. The United States of America have secured their spot in the World Cup Qualifier via the Americas Qualifier in March 2025, while Nepal and Thailand have made it through the Asia Qualifier in May 2025.

The Netherlands will host the European Qualifier from 20th August 2025; two teams will go through to the next stage. Namibia will be hosting the African Qualifiers from 31st August 2025, a total of two teams will move to the next stage, i.e the T20 World Cup Qualifiers. One team will progress through the EAP Qualifiers hosted by Fiji from 9th September 2025. The top four teams in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifiers will book their spot in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026.
