As a part of the initiated process, a squad of 15 players from the England Women’s Cricket Pathway (EWCP) will head to Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for a training camp aimed at honing and sharpening their abilities, alongside gaining valuable outdoor match practice.

The training camp offers a valuable chance for the six players from the England Women’s Pace Bowling Performance Programme to refine their techniques in favorable weather. Additionally, it provides an opportunity for other players with diverse skill sets to engage in competitive scenario-based practice.

Ryana MacDonald-Gay (Surrey), Grace Potts (Lancashire), Emma Jones (Surrey), Alexa Stonehouse (Surrey), Issy Wong and Katie George (both Warwickshire) form the part of the pace bowling programme. In addition to Essex and former England Women U19 teammates Grace Scrivens and Jodi Grewcock, they are joined by other women who played for England during the trip to Ireland last year.

The bunch of players will leave on the 27th of February and will stay in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) till the 8th of March.

England Women Performance Pace Bowling Coach Chris Liddle expressed excitement about the upcoming camp in Abu Dhabi, emphasizing its significance as a crucial training phase for all 15 players.

“We are really looking forward to this camp in Abu Dhabi, which will be an important training block for all 15 players in a warm environment, training on grass.
