Players to watch out:
Winifred Duraisingam
The 31-year-old all-rounder, in T20Is, has posted 1,074 runs from 70 outings, including the highest score of 73, while also taking 53 wickets from 64 innings, maintaining an economy rate of 5.35. Winifred didn’t find much success in her recent series, scoring 30 runs and taking 3 wickets. While her struggle for runs has continued into this series, her bowling returns read 1/19 and 2/11. She can be counted on for the goods.
Arianna Natasya
The 22-year-old left-arm off-spinner, from 41 T20I outings, has secured 29 wickets at an economy rate of 5.20, with the best figures of 3/25, and has added 115 runs from 29 innings. After last featuring in February, Arianna, on her return, produced figures of 1/10 (2) in her most recent outing. While she has departed cheaply for 1 on both occasions, she is a promising talent and can be relied upon for impactful all-round efforts.
Yasmeen Khan
The 25-year-old keeper-batter, from 79 T20I innings, has amassed 1,419 runs at an average of 21.83 and registered the highest score of 78*. Yasmeen didn’t find much success in her recent campaign, departing cheaply with scores of 2, 12, and 2. However, she has managed a welcome return to form, registering scores of 11* and 26* in the first couple of games in this series and should be backed to follow up with another big score.
Victoria Hamunyela
The 21-year-old off-spinner, from 50 T20I innings, has picked up 54 wickets at an average of 14.25, an economy rate of 4.64, and recorded the best figures of 4/8. Victoria had a rare quiet campaign earlier this month, bagging only 2 wickets from 4 outings, but in this series, she has stepped up with bowling figures of 1/16 and 1/9. She is a seasoned spinner and can be relied upon for breakthroughs and handy runs.
Pitch:
The 22-yard strip at Selangor Turf Club favors the bowlers, particularly the spinners, and presents difficulties for the batters. The spin-friendly conditions result in an average score in the 110s, requiring batters to exhibit discipline in order to post a competitive total.
Weather:
Kuala Lumpur promises ideal conditions for the game despite cloudy skies overhead, as the chances of rain are minimal. The temperature is expected to hover around 30°C, with light winds and a humidity level of 75%.
Fantasy playing XI:
