Players to watch out:
Winifred Duraisingam
The 31-year-old all-rounder, from 68 T20I outings, has accumulated 1,065 runs and, from 62 innings, has taken 50 wickets, with bests of 73 and 3/9. Winifred didn’t find much success in her recent campaign earlier this year, accumulating 30 runs and 3 wickets from three games. Nonetheless, she is a seasoned campaigner and can be relied upon for all-round efforts.
Mahirah Izzati Ismail
The 24-year-old all-rounder, in T20Is, has added 391 runs from 41 innings, with the highest score of 44*, while also taking 51 wickets, including the best of 5/11, from 43 outings, maintaining an economy rate of 4.12. Mahirah was a standout in their recent campaign, chipping in with a handy 15, while returning figures of 3/16, 1/23, and 1/35. She’ll be relied upon for breakthroughs.
Sune Wittmann
The 29-year-old all-rounder, from 63 T20I outings, has amassed 1,129 runs, with the highest score of 93*, and from 44 innings has picked up 44 wickets, at an economy rate of 4.56. In her previous four outings in their recent campaign, Sune registered scores of 33, 48*, 6, and 6, alongside bowling returns of 1/3, 2/10, and 2/2. Given her form, she can be counted on for the goods.
Wilka Mwatile
The 24-year-old pacer, from 62 T20I innings, has claimed 60 wickets at an economy rate of 4.47, and recorded the best of 5/6, while also being handy with the bat on a few occasions. In their recent campaign last week, Wilka added scores of 6, 11, and 11, and produced bowling figures of 0/21, 4/6, and 1/11. She is a promising talent and can be trusted to deliver.
Pitch:
The Selangor Turf Club offers a bowler-friendly surface, which pacers make the most of, while spinners also remain in the game. The conditions are challenging for batters, and the average score of 98 indicates a low-scoring match.
Weather:
The rain could play spoilsport, with showers on the radar throughout the match duration. The temperature in Kuala Lumpur is expected to hover around 24°C, with light winds and humidity of 85%.
