Freya Kemp earns maiden red-ball call-up as England announces all-format squads for their tour to South Africa from 24th November.
The last time the South African women’s team hosted England for a white-ball bilateral series was in February 2016. As far as the red-ball format is concerned, they will host England after 64 years, having last played a red-ball game in the country, involving these two sides, in December 1960.
The last time these two sides were up against each other in the T20I format in South Africa, the visitors, England had sealed the T20I series (2-1). As far as the ODI format is concerned, the result was much the same (2-1) in favor of England in February 2016. England will be back in the land of the Proteas after 8 years, where they will be involved in an all-format series against the Laura Wolvaardt-led side from 24th November 2024 to 15th December 2024. The bilateral series will include a three-match T20I series followed by a three-match ODI series and then a one-off Test match.
The Heather Knight-led side has announced its all-format squads for their tour to South Africa. The young 19-year-old all-rounder Freya Kemp earned her maiden call-up to the Test squad.
