Sri Lanka announces 15-member squad for Women’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup

Sri Lanka cricket board announced the women’s squad to represent their country in the upcoming Women’s Emerging teams Asia Cup.

The tournament which will be held in October 2019 will see participation from Asian cricket playing nations, mostly represented by their ‘A’ sides.

A 15-member squad has been approved by the board which has Nilakshana Sandamini as the wicketkeeper. The team also boasts of players such as Harshitha Madavi, Hasini Perera, Imalka Mendis, Kavisha Dilhari and Umesha Thimashini who have already played for the Sri Lanka senior team in quite a few international games.

The Women’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2019 will be held in Sri Lanka from 22 to 27 October this year.
