Final Squads out for the Inaugural edition of the Uttarakhand Premier League from 15th September
After Bengal (Bengal Women’s Pro T20 League) and Delhi (Women’s Delhi Premier League), Uttarakhand becomes the 3rd state to launch a franchise league for Women. The Inaugural edition of the Uttarakhand Premier League is all set to get underway on 15th September 2024.
A total of three teams, namely Nanital SG Pipers, Pithoragarh Hurricanes, and Mussoorie Thunders will be participating in the inaugural edition of the tournament at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Dehradun. Each of the three teams has picked their icon players for the tournament ahead of the Inaugural season.
Nanital SG Pipers have named Ekta Bisht, Pithoragarh Hurricanes have named Neelam Bisht and Mussoorie Thunders have named Mansi Joshi as the icon players for their respective franchises. The icon players and the teams were selected via a draft process. The player draft took place on 1st September 2024 in Dehradun.
