Reid’s impressive performances with both bat and gloves have caught the attention of the Melbourne Stars’ management. Her strong showings in WBBL and state cricket, including a series of player-of-the-match awards for Victoria, have earned her this well-deserved extension.

“It’s fantastic to commit to the Stars for another two years,” Reid said. “We’ve built a formidable squad and are aiming high for the finals in what promises to be a historic season for the WBBL. I’m excited to continue contributing to the team’s success.”

Blair Crouch, General Manager of the Melbourne Stars, expressed enthusiasm about Reid’s future with the team. “Sophie’s development over the past two years has been impressive,” Crouch said. “Her form for Victoria, particularly towards the end of last season, was outstanding. She has become a vital part of our squad, and we are eager to see what she will bring to the table in WBBL|10.”
