England Cricket Board is all set to introduce the three-tiered structure at the domestic level, replacing the regional model from the 2025 season. Surrey has been signing players to represent their club at a thick and fast rate in the last few weeks. They have yet again roped in a dynamic trio of Aylish Cranstone, Phoebe Franklin, and Ryana Macdonald-Gay to play for the club for the upcoming 2025 season.
The 29-year-old top-order batter Aylish Cranstone represents the South East Stars in the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy and the Charlotte Edwards Cup in the ongoing edition of the tournament. She has scored 137 runs at a strike rate of 137 in five innings so far with the bat in the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy for the South East Stars. In the Charlotte Edwards Cup, she has scored 50 runs in four innings so far for the South East Stars. She was also a part of the title-winning squad for the 2021 edition of the Charlotte Edwards Cup. She was also a part of the Oval Invincibles title-winning squad in the 2nd edition of the Women’s Hundred. She will play for Surrey in the upcoming 2025 domestic season.
The 26-year-old all-rounder Phoebe Franklin is currently a part of the South East Stars in the ongoing edition of the Charlotte Edwards Cup. She has scored 100 runs in eight innings so far with the bat for her side. Apart from her exploits with the bat, she has also picked up three wickets in 8 innings with the ball for her side. She was also a part of the title-winning squad for the 2021 edition of the Charlotte Edwards Cup. In the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy, she has scored 99 runs in five innings. She has also been a part of the Northern Superchargers in the Women’s Hundred. She has also represented the Birmingham Phoenix for a couple of editions in the Women’s Hundred in 2021, and 2022.
The 20-year-old young all-rounder Ryana Macdonald-Gay from Kent, plays for Kent at the domestic level. She currently represents the South East Stars in the ongoing edition of the Charlotte Edwards Cup. She has scored nine runs with the bat so far, and picked up eight wickets in nine innings with the ball for her side so far. In the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy, she has scored 19 runs in three innings. She has also picked up 12 wickets in four innings with an average of 11.75. She is currently the leading wicket-taker for the South East Stars and the 2nd highest wicket-taker of the tournament so far.
