In a groundbreaking move towards gender diversity and inclusion, Cricket West Indies (CWI) proudly announced the appointment of three accomplished women to its Board as Independent Directors. This historic milestone marks a significant step forward for gender representation within the organization.
The addition of Ms. Diann Campbell and Mrs. Louise Victor-Frederick as new appointees brings a wealth of expertise and experience to the board. Their arrival is complemented by the return of Mrs. Debra Coryat-Patton, further fortifying the board’s collective capabilities. All appointments are effective for a one-year period ending in March 2025.
Ms. Diann Campbell, an esteemed Jamaican cricket administrator with nearly three decades of experience, possesses a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management and a Bachelor’s degree in History. With her profound understanding of cricket administration, corporate governance, and organizational development, Ms. Campbell is poised to play a pivotal role in propelling CWI’s strategic initiatives forward.
Mrs. Louise Victor-Frederick, an experienced branding and communications strategist hailing from Saint Lucia, boasts a Master’s degree in International Public Relations and Global Communications Management, coupled with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Her impactful contributions to Saint Lucia’s corporate landscape and her directorial responsibilities at the Saint Lucia Chamber of Commerce, Industry & Agriculture highlight her capability to make substantial contributions towards CWI’s objectives.
Mrs. Debra Coryat-Patton, an accomplished Attorney-at-Law hailing from Trinidad & Tobago, is welcomed back to the Board of Directors. Specializing in Employment Law, Intellectual Property Law, and Diplomatic Protocol, her expertise as a Chartered Director and Chartered Corporate Secretary underscores her dedication to governance excellence.
Furthermore, to these additions, Mr. Hallam Nichols has been reappointed as an Independent Director, reinforcing the board’s expertise. As a distinguished Barbadian entrepreneur, Mr. Nichols brings a wealth of experience to the table and plays a pivotal role on the CWI Stakeholders Relations Committee.
Dr. Kishore Shallow, President of CWI, expressed his excitement for the new appointments, while warmly welcoming back Mrs. Coryat-Patton and Mr. Nichols, emphasizing their diverse backgrounds, extensive experience, and unwavering commitment to excellence.
