Women’s T20I Quadrangular Series (Netherlands) – Day 6 summary

Scotland Women were up against Ireland Women in the 11th match of the Women’s T20I Quadrangular series. Ireland Women registered a comfortable win by nine wickets. Winning the toss and electing to bat first, Scotland reached 126/7 in the allotted quota of 20 overs.

Ireland Women, in reply, comfortably reached the target in 13.1 overs with just one wicket down. Scotland’s skipper Sarah Bryce’s 49 went in vain as she did not get support on the other end. Ireland’s Lara Maritz troubled the Scottish batters the most and took three wickets by conceding just four runs in her three overs. Her team-mates Gaby Lewis (65*) and Kim Garth (47)* finished off the things in style in second innings.

Table-toppers Thailand Women locked horns with hosts Netherlands Women in the last match of the tournament. Thai Women registered another emphatic win by a huge margin of 93 runs. On winning the toss, Netherlands Women elected to bowl first.

Thailand made 133/8 in the allotted 20 overs. Chasing a target of 134-runs, the entire Netherlands team is bowled out on 40. Netherlands’ Mikkie Zwilling bowled brilliantly and took three wickets in two overs. Thailand’s Nannapat Koncharoenkai made 57 off 43 and her team-mates Ratanaporn Padunglerd and Suleeporn Laomi took three wickets each to take the game away from the Netherlands.
