Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Women’s T20 Tournament to be played in Lucknow from 19-26 May

The Cricket Association of Lucknow (CAL) has officially announced the launch of the Late Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Women’s State-Level Twenty20 Cricket Tournament. This tournament, named after the former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, the late Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna, is set to commence on May 19, 2023, and will feature a total of eight teams.

The 8 participating teams will see a couple from Lucknow, and one each from Meerut, Banaras, Kanpur, Agra, Gorakhpur, and Deoria. All games of the tournament will be played at the GCRG Ground, near Chandrika Devi Mandir, Sitapur Road.

It’ll serve as a breeding ground for identifying and nurturing promising players. The program will not only develop individual skills but also will build a strong cricket infrastructure at the local level.
