Certa signed two-year partnership with Cricket Ireland as Official Sponsor

Certa, a new brand under DCC plc, has announced a two-year partnership with Cricket Ireland to become the official sponsor of the Ireland Women’s Cricket team. This partnership comes at an exciting time for women’s cricket in Ireland, with Cricket Ireland being the second sport in Ireland to offer full-time professional playing contracts for women. The Ireland Women’s team has also climbed up to the 10th rank in world rankings.

Certa aims to become Ireland’s most progressive energy company, and this partnership will empower the Ireland Women’s team to continue pushing new boundaries and perform competitively against the top nations in women’s cricket. Furthermore, it will help the sport thrive from grassroots to elite level and inspire young players to follow their dream of becoming professional cricket players in Ireland.

With its network of 39 unmanned, pay@pump forecourts and 22 home heating depots, Certa is part of communities all over Ireland. The company will develop campaigns that harness this network to raise awareness of the Ireland Women’s cricket team, create a better understanding of the sport, and build the profile of its rising stars. The team captain Laura Delany and star player Gaby Lewis will take on roles as Certa Brand Ambassadors.

Twenty-three players have been offered professional women’s playing contracts for 2023, and the Ireland Women’s team is set to compete against T20 World Champions, Australia, in a three-match ODI series this July. The team secured a memorable win over Australia in a T20 World Cup warm-up game, and they are aiming to repeat the feat with home support. The series will be preceded by a six-match tour to the Caribbean for a series against the West Indies and followed by a three-match tour to the Netherlands.
