Sri Lanka to host Bangladesh for 3 ODIs and 3 T20Is from 29th April to 12th May

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has announced hosting the Bangladesh women’s for a 3-match One-Day Internationals (ODIs) series and as many matches Twenty20 International (T20Is) series from the 29th of April till the 12th of May. While the ODIs will be played at the P. Sara Oval, the T20Is will be played at the SSC Ground.

The Bangladesh team will arrive in Sri Lanka on the 25th of April, and on the 27th will play an ODI against the SLC Board President’s XI. Ahead of the 3-match T20I series as well, there’s a T20 scheduled between Bangladesh and the SLC Board President’s XI on the 7th of May (the series schedule is attached below).

The 7th seeded team on the ICC Women’s Championship table, Sri Lanka last played a multi-format series at home, in June, against India, and since has featured in the 3 multi-team events – Commonwealth Games, Asia Cup, and the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup. The team’s best finish had come in the Asia Cup, where they finished as the runners-up.

The 9th-seeded team on the ICC Women’s Championship table, Bangladesh last played a multi-format series earlier this year during their historic tour of New Zealand. The team’s last game had come in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup where they suffered an early, league-stage exit.
