Where to watch the Finals of U19 Women’s World Cup Final?

After 13 days and 40 games of convincing cricketing action, the inaugural edition of the Under-19 Women’s Twenty20 (T20) World Cup has got its Final scheduled for Sunday, the 29th of January that will see, India and England lock horns at Senwes Park, Potchefstroom to get both hands on the silverware at 5:15 PM Indian Standard Time (IST).

India’s road to the Final:

The Shafali Verma-led Indian side in the tournament has looked a class above the rest and fitting so sit in contention to lift the silverware. India in their round 1 games, topped their Group D points table with a hat-trick of wins that saw them accumulate 6 points at a very healthy Net Run Rate (NRR) of +4.039.

India cruised to the Super Six stage and after having lost their opener to Australia, registered a commanding win over Sri Lanka, and having topped the points table with a better NRR of +2.844 advanced to the Semi-Final where they met, New Zealand who until then were unbeaten in the tournament. India made the unbeaten, New Zealand looks ordinary on the day, and with yet another commanding win stormed to the Final of the World Cup.

England’s road to the Final:

The Grace Scrivens-led English side in the tournament has emerged as a team to be reckoned with. And, the final involving the two of the far best teams is not something you would want to risk missing. England too topped their Group B in the first round of games and did so with repeated dictating wins which saw them finish the round with the best NRR of +6.083.

England stormed to the Super Six stage and yet again, carried forward their winning momentum as they registered successive wins and advanced to the Semi-Final with an NRR of +5.088. In the Semi-Final, Australia brought their A game on display and despite having bowled England out for 99, failed to get over the line as a spirited English bowling outing saw Australia bowled out for 96.

What to expect?

While India has made it to the Finals on the back off a very convincing win over a peaking New Zealand side, England did so on the back off a cliffhanger, and the confidence they can draw out of that game is immense, and so expectations are of an elite quality Final with two of the toughest sides competing in England and India for the ultimate glory.
