Shweta Sehrawat:
The right-handed opening batter from Delhi will lead India Women’s U19 in the series against New Zealand Women’s U19. She has been in excellent form in the recent past, scoring plenty of runs. Apart from her batting, she is a good skipper who leads her side from the front.
Hrishita Basu:
The wicket-keeper batter from Bengal is a dashing middle-order batter who plays the role of a finisher. She is one of the safest houses behind the stumps. She will be the key for India Women’s U19, both with the bat and gloves.
Ashtuti Kumar:
The talented all-rounder of New Zealand Women’s U19 is a right-handed batter and a right-arm medium-pace bowler. She can open the bowling as well. She is a genuine wicket-taker who can unsettle any opposition while on song.
Olivia Gain:
She is a right-handed top-order batter of New Zealand Women’s U19. She recently had a good outing against West Indies Women’s U19 in the two T20s she played. She had the best score of 99. At the top of the order, she will be required to provide a good start to the team with the bat.
Pitch
It will be the first match of the tournament at this venue. Expect a new surface that will aid the batters. The batting-friendly conditions could provide for a high-scoring contest. The fast bowlers may get help with the new ball.
