Sana Mir will don the hat of a commentator at the upcoming ICC Women’s World Cup from March 4 in New Zealand. She will be Pakistan’s sole representative in the commentary box at the mega event.
The former Pakistan Women’s team captain has had a sprawling fourteen-year-long career in the sport. She has a number of records to her name. She has been a formidable figure in Pakistan’s cricketing circuit. Sana Mir signed off from her commentary duties in HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 7. In a Tweet, the 36-year-old former captain thanked her team at PSL7 for a special and wonderful experience.

Mir has represented Pakistan in half a dozen ICC T20 World Cups out of which she was the captain in five editions (2009-2016) and three fifty-over World Cups of which she lead her team in two(2013 and 2017).
In what will be her first stint as a commentator at a major ICC event she comes with a bag of experience as she has been part of the commentary teams in plenty of international series hosted by Pakistan.
Bismah Maroof will lead the Pakistan Women’s team in the upcoming ICC Women’s World Cup. Pakistan will kick-off their World Cup campaign against India on March 6 at Bay Oval in Tauranga.
