Players to watch out for
The right-arm off-spinner was the player of the match in her last match against Argentina. She picked up 2-12 in her four overs.
Renata de Sousa:
The right-hand middle order bat top scored with 14 runs off 29 balls. With the ball, the right arm seamer bowled her complete quota of four overs and gave away just 11 runs.
The right arm seamer was the pick of the bowlers for Canada in her previous outing against the United States. She scalped 4-15 in her four overs, including one maiden over. She was the player of the match too.
The right-hand opening bat scored a brilliant 40 off 45 balls, including four boundaries. She was there till the 17th over and played a pivotal role in helping her side post 85-4 in 20 overs.
The weather is expected to be cloudy through the course of the match. A thunderstorm is predicted towards the latter half of the match. The average temperatures will be between 20 and 21 degrees Celsius.
Spinners could be the key going into this match. It will be the 11th match of the tournament at the venue and it is likely that the wicket will be a bit slow. Toss will not be that important, given that, out of the 10 matches played so far, teams batting first and teams batting second have won an equal number of matches. The average first innings score has been 75 and the average second innings score has been 54.
