Love is Love and loving someone with all your heart is a beautiful thing. This line is apt for the Australian bowler Megan Schutt and her partner Jess Holyoake who are all set to welcome their baby girl in November.
The 28-year-old Aussie bowler Megan Schutt has played 4 Test matches, 59 One-Day Internationals, and 67 T20 Internationals. She was the first cricketer to take a Hat-trick for Australia in Women’s T20 Internationals. She is a part of Adelaide Strikers in Australia’s domestic cricket league, Big Bash League.
Megan took to social media to share the good news with a photo of a number 3 jersey, her dog and cat, she wrote, “Jess and I are excited to FINALLY be able to spill the beans Jess has the joy of carrying a mini-me, lucky her baby girl already being smothered by the cat”

Megan and Jess met at the National Cricket Centre in Brisbane. Talking about their meeting, Megan said, “I saw a cute girl behind the desk and I was like ‘I’m going to woo her’. So, I started flirting with her and I kind of got a little back and I was like ‘Hang on here and the rest is history. She texted me after getting my number out of the CA system. Which I found rather funny at the time! I was so impressed by it because I was like, ‘No one really asks for a number anymore.”
Ever since Megan came out as gay, she has been an advocate for LGBTQ+ rights. A long-standing supporter of same-sex marriage, she was a campaigner of the Australian Marriage Law postal survey, which eventually cleared her path to marry Jess. The day same-sex marriage was legalized, she announced her marriage to Jess via social media.
