After suffering from the disease for almost a month, her sister Vatsala Shivakumar lost the long-fought battle to the virus. The past month has been very difficult for the Bengaluru cricketer, losing two family members. Veda has been a crucial member of the Indian squad for a long time and has represented the country at the world cup too.
The Covid-19 situation in India is at its peak as a record-breaking number of cases are being registered from different parts of the country. The country has also witnessed a lot of deaths in the recent past as people are finding it difficult to avail medicines and beds at the hospital, and are running short of oxygen.
India recorded the highest ever spike in cases (worldwide) since the pandemic began as over 4 lakh cases were reported. We request everyone to wear a mask, sanitize themselves regularly, maintain social distancing and leave homes only if required. Stay Home, Stay Safe.
