England’s legend Charlotte Edwards feels it would be tough for her home team to defeat Australia in this year’s Ashes

Legendary player Charlotte Edwards believes that It would be “very, very tough” for English team to defeat World number 1, Australia in this year’s Ashes series. The former England captain added that English team needs everyone to be absolutely fit and prepared to win Ashes.

The multi-format Ashes series would feature three ODIs, three T20s and one Test and Australian team is possessing the coveted trophy currently after retaining it in 2017.

Edwards feels that the gap between the traditionally close rivals (England and Australia) is widening up because of Australia’s increased professionalism. Although she showed full confidence in the talented bunch of English players and rates them quite competent to face Southern Stars but cautioned them to come together to the best of their potentials.
