Sarah Glenn and Katherine Brunt make it big in ICC Women’s T20I Rankings

England spinner Sarah Glenn jumps up 6 places to enter the top 3 positions in the ICC Women’s T20I Rankings (Bowling). Fast bowler Katherine Brunt has also moved up 2 places and grabbed the 10th spot in the list.

In recent England vs New Zealand series, Katherine Brunt was named player of the match for her striking bowling performance in the 3rd T20I. Brunt’s performance in the series was clinical as she struck twice in the very first over of the final game.

Whereas Sarah Glenn received the player of the match award for the first T20I in the 3 match series. The 21 y/o youngster Sarah Glenn was amongst the joint-leading wicket-takers in the series accompanied by Freya Davies, Nat Sciver, and Sophie Ecclestone; followed by Katherine Brunt. Team England outplayed New Zealand to clinch the series 3-0.

The ICC T20I Bowlers Ranking list reads like this:

After a terrific win by England over the New Zealand Women, Sophie Ecclestone has retained the top spot, followed by South Africa’s Shabnim Ismail at number 2. With Sarah Glenn reaching the third spot, Australia’s Megan Schutt has shifted one place down to the 4th position.

Australia’s Jess Jonassen and India’s Deepti Sharma stay at the 5th and 6th spot respectively. New Zealand’s Amelia Kerr has dropped 3 positions down to number 7 and India’s Radha Yadav and Poonam Yadav have moved down one spot each to take the 8th and 9th positions. And England’s Katherine Brunt has entered the list by securing a place at No. 10
