Keeping the pandemic in mind, players will have to enter the bio bubble and undergo quarantine for a period of 6 days, which is why all the teams are required to reach their respective centers by the 4th of March. The pre-quarterfinals are on the 27th of March and the four knockouts will be played on the 29th and 30th of March. The semi-finals will be played on the 1st of April with the tournament set to conclude on the 4th of April when the finals will be played. The venue for the knockouts is still to be confirmed. A total of 37 teams have been divided into 6 elite batches and a plate group.

“All the teams are required to assemble in their respective host cities on March 4 and they will be required to undergo Covid-19 testing procedures and quarantine in accordance with the state regulatory authorities and the BCCI SOPs,” BCCI secretary Jay Shah wrote in a letter to all the affiliated units of the BCCI.

Other than this domestic tournament, the Indian women’s cricket team is all set to be back in action for a limited-overs leg against South Africa. Team India who last played an international game in the finals of the ICC Women’s World T20 in March last year, were set to make their international comeback against Australia in January this year but certain issues cropped up leading to the tour getting postponed indefinitely.
