After hosting Pakistan Women for three T20Is and 5 ODIs earlier this year, West Indies Women are scheduled to travel to Pakistan for three ODIs against them ahead of the World Cup Qualifiers.
After a clean sweep in the T20Is and a three out of the five-game advantage in ODIs in July, West Indies would look to continue their dominance over Pakistan while the latter will try their best to keep the series home.
However, a sense of worry has hit Pakistan camp as three players have tested positive for Covid-19 in routine testing held Yesterday and have been put into 10 days quarantine till November 6 while the remaining squad will be in isolation till November 2 with testing done every alternate day. According to Pakistan Cricket Board, the players have already been vaccinated in May and have joined the bio-bubble for the preparation camp at Hanif Mohammad High-Performance Centre after two negative reports.
Meanwhile, West Indies is looking forward to the matches as a great preparatory measure for them ahead of the World Cup qualifiers scheduled in Zimbabwe from November 21.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) issued a statement on Thursday, October 28 to announce that 3 members of the Squad have tested Positive for COVID-19.

As quoted by ESPNcricinfo, Cricket West Indies CEO Johnny Grave said, “This reciprocal tour to Pakistan is an important part of our preparation plans ahead of the World Cup qualifying tournament that is scheduled to take place in Zimbabwe in mid-November. This tour to Pakistan will give the team the chance to play in different conditions compared to the Caribbean and have more high-level competitive cricket ahead of aiming to secure one of the three qualifying spots available for the Women’s Cricket World Cup next year.”
