West Indies Women have asserted complete dominance in the Zimbabwe T20I series so far, comfortably picking up eight-wicket victories in both fixtures at Harare’s Takashinga Sports Club.
In the series opener, a disciplined Caribbean bowling effort restricted Zimbabwe to 97/9 before the visitors cruised to the target with 43 balls to spare. The second match unfolded in near-identical fashion; after Zimbabwe managed 106/7, West Indies chased down the total in just 9.1 overs, fueled by Eboni Brathwaite’s explosive 23-ball 57. Zimbabwe’s top order has struggled to cope with the relentless pressure applied by the West Indian bowlers, repeatedly leaving them behind early in the contest.
Ahead of the third and final T20I, West Indies will be aiming for a clean sweep, carried by the momentum of back-to-back victories. Their bowling attack—led by key contributors Jahzara Claxton and Karishma Ramharack—has consistently neutralized Zimbabwe’s scoring, while dynamic top-order efforts from Brathwaite and Realeanna Grimmond have made light work of target chases.
For Zimbabwe, this final match is about restoring pride and avoiding a series whitewash. Standout all-rounder Beloved Biza needs strong support from her middle order if the hosts are to post a competitive score or push the West Indies deeper into a chase.
