Players to watch out:

Muneeba Ali

The 26-year-old keeper-batter, from 37 ODI innings, has accumulated 823 runs and registered the highest of 107. Muneeba averages 32.63 on home soil, and her only ODI ton had also come in Pakistan. Though she hasn’t consistently scored big runs in ODIs, she’ll be counted on to step up, leading the scoring.

Tuba Hassan

The 23-year-old leg-spinner, in her only ODI, was punished for 69 runs off 6 overs. Nonetheless, Tuba forced herself back into the team following an all-round display in a T20 tournament, amassing 267 runs at a strike rate of 143.55 and bagging 8 wickets from 9 games. She’ll be backed to replicate similar success in this series.

Hayley Matthews

The 26-year-old all-rounder in ODIs, from 77 outings, has racked up 2071 runs and scalped 94 wickets from 74 innings, with respective bests being 94 and 4/15. Hayley was in decent form in a recent T20 tournament, though she failed to convert her starts, she can be relied upon for big runs and wickets with the ball.

Qiana Joseph

The 23-year-old all-rounder, maintaining an economy rate of 4.44, has struck 11 wickets from 10 innings and registered the best of 2/24. For an ‘A’ series, Qiana toured Pakistan late last year and was successful with the ball, while also chipping in with a few runs. It’ll be hoped that she delivers the goods.

Pitch:

Karachi features a well-balanced center wicket that’s favorable to both batters and bowlers, especially the spinners, to make an impact on the game. The average score in the 220s indicates favorable conditions for scoring runs, but it’ll be a test of patience.

Weather:

Expect a delayed start to proceedings with shower spells forecasted in the 1st hour of the game; however, the radar is bright and clear for the remainder of the day. The temperature is expected to hover around 29°C, with moderate winds and humidity at 66%.
