Brisbane Heat are in a difficult or a precarious position this season. They are currently eighth on the points table and have not won a single match yet. Every game is becoming more important for them now. As they get ready to face Sydney Thunder in Match 18 of Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) 11, the team will hope that their key players finally deliver. If the Heat want to turn their season around, these three players will have to play big roles.

Lucy Hamilton
Left-arm pacer Lucy Hamilton has been one of the most promising performers for the Heat. Even though she is young, she has already shown good control and maturity. In 15 WBBL matches, she has taken 15 wickets with an economy rate of 6.65 and an average of 18.20. She has the ability to bowl tight lines and take early wickets. Against Perth Scorchers, she took the big wicket of Beth Mooney and finished with figures of 2 for 28. In the match against the Renegades, she gave away only 18 runs and picked up one wicket. She is sharp, accurate, and consistent, and the Heat will be looking at her to give them early breakthroughs.
Georgia Redmayne
Wicketkeeper-batter Georgia Redmayne is one of the most experienced players in the Heat squad. She has played 128 matches and scored 2685 runs at an average of 24.86, including 17 fifties. But this season has been very quiet for her. Her recent scores are 2, 3, 16, 7, and 27. She has not been able to convert her starts into big scores. The team depends a lot on her at the top of the order. If the Heat want to put up strong totals or chase down targets, they will need Redmayne to find her rhythm again and lead the batting.
Charli Knott
Charli Knott is another important player who can contribute with both bat and ball. She has scored 695 runs from 51 innings at a strike rate of 120.24. She has also taken 26 wickets with her right-arm off-spin. In the last three games she has gone wicketless, but she did score 30 runs against Perth Scorchers, showing that she can still make an impact. Her all-round ability gives balance to the team. If she can contribute in both departments, it will give the Heat a much better chance in the all-important match.
Brisbane Heat have talented players, but they now need strong performances. Lucy Hamilton’s bowling, Georgia Redmayne’s experience, and Charli Knott’s all-round skills could help the team finally get their first win of the season. Heat fans will be hoping these three players step up and turn things around.
