Players to watch out for

Katie Mack:

The right-hand opening bat was the player of the match in her last outing against Brisbane Heat. She led the run chase scoring an unbeaten 54 off 48 balls, including eight boundaries. After losing Dane van Niekerk and Laura Wolvaardt cheaply, Mack stitched an 88 run partnership with Tahlia McGrath to see her side home.

Amanda Wellington:

The right arm leg spinner was the most successful bowler for Adelaide Strikers against Brisbane Heat in the last match. She scalped 2-21 in her four overs, including one maiden. She was the only bowler to bowl a maiden over in that match.

Sophie Devine:

The skipper of Perth Scorchers was the player of the match against Melbourne Stars. The opening bat muscled a 35 not out off 27 balls, including four boundaries and a six, guiding her side to a 10-wicket win. With the ball, the right arm seamer claimed 2-11 in her three overs, including one maiden.

Beth Mooney:

The stylish southpaw smashed a scintillating half-century in her last match against Melbourne Stars. Chasing a modest 98, the opening bat took her side past the opposition target with ease. She scored 54 not out off 38 balls, including 10 boundaries. She took on the bowling attack and did not allow them to settle. She smashed the bowlers all around the park.

Weather

The weather is expected to be partly sunny and pleasant in the first half of the match and partly cloudy and warm in the latter half. The average temperatures will drop from 26 degrees Celsius in the afternoon (local) to 20 degrees Celsius in the evening (local). Through the course of the match there is a 2% chance of precipitation.

Pitch

The last two matches at the venue were washed out. Prior to that, six matches were played, out of which four were won by the teams batting second. Chasing seems to be the preferred choice for the captains. It will be interesting to see how the wicket plays given that there were rains last week. So far, the matches that have been played here have seen around 150 runs being scored by the team batting first. In the first match that was played at this venue a score in excess of 200 was also achieved by Melbourne Renegades in this season.
