Batting first, Melbourne Renegades posted a mammoth 207-4 in 20 overs, riding on triple half centuries from Jemimah Rodrigues (52 runs off 31 balls), Evelyn Jones (62 runs off 46 balls) and Harmanpreet Kaur (65 runs off 32 balls). Rodrigues and Jones put together 101 runs for the opening wicket in just 9.4 overs. Kaur capitalized on the foundation laid and with her stellar innings became the first Indian to score 1000 WBBL runs. For Brisbane Heat, Courtney Sippel, Nicola Hancock, Jess Jonassen and Grace Harris struck with one wicket apiece.
2nd innings Brisbane Heat 192 all out in 20 overs
In reply, Brisbane Heat fought hard to get close to the daunting total posted by Melbourne Renegades, however in the end, fell short by just 15 runs, as they were bundled out for 192 in 20 overs. Laura Kimmince top scored with 42 runs off 21 balls, while Georgia Voll chipped in with 40 runs off 28 balls. For Melbourne Renegades, Ellie Falconer was the pick of the bowlers as she scalped 4-29 in her four overs, with Rhiann O Donnell accounting for two wickets and Harmanpreet Kaur and Ella Hayward claiming one wicket each.

Player of the Match
Melbourne Renegades’ Harmanpreet Kaur won the player of the match for her match-winning all-around performance. The right-hand bat plundered 65 runs off 32 balls and picked up 1-19 in her two overs of off spin.
