Players to watch out for

Georgia Redmayne:

The left hand opening bat scored an unbeaten 59 off just 52 balls, including half a dozen boundaries to help her side post a competitive score of 162-5 in 20 overs. The wicket-keeper also accounted for five dismissals behind the stumps, including four catches and one stumping.

Grace Harris:

The all-rounder made solid contributions with both bat and ball. The opening bat scored 34 runs off 30 balls, including six boundaries. With the ball, she picked up 3-16 in her 3.2 overs.

Annabel Sutherland:

The Australian all-rounder was the pick of the bowlers in her previous outing against Hobart Hurricanes. She accounted for 2-22 in her four overs, including one maiden over.

Meg Lanning:

The Australian captain was the top run getter for Melbourne Stars in her last match against Hobart Hurricanes. She scored 25 runs off 28 balls, including three boundaries.

There could be a slight chance of rain during the start of the play as the weather forecast shows 61% chance of rain and 98% cloud cover. The temperatures are expected to drop from 12 degrees Celsius to 7 degrees Celsius towards the latter half of the game. Wind will blow from south-southwest.


This will just be the second match of the tournament at this venue, with the first match being played just a few minutes back. It will be a used surface so it will be interesting to see how the wicket behaves. The teams will take cue from the first match.
