Batting first, Mussoorie Thunders Women put up a steady total of 101/5 in their allotted 20 overs. Openers Kanchan Parihar (21 off 25) and Reena Jindal (34 off 40) provided a solid foundation with a composed partnership at the top.
Reena’s anchoring role allowed the Thunders to build patiently, while Sidra Farooqhi chipped in with 16 runs in the middle order. In the closing overs, skipper Amisha Bahukhandi (12*) and Tara Bisht (8*) ensured the team crossed the 100-run mark with some valuable late runs.
With the ball for Tehri, it was their captain Neelam Bhardwaj who starred, taking 3/18 with her crafty bowling, while Ankita Bisht (1/16) provided key support to keep the scoring in check.
Chasing 102 for victory, Tehri Queens Women had a few nervous moments but managed to hold their composure. The innings began with a stumble as opener Megha Saini fell cheaply for 5, but Aarti Bhandari steadied the ship with a composed 26 off 34 balls, building a crucial partnership in the middle.
Skipper Neelam Bhardwaj (11 off 10) kept the momentum ticking before all-rounder Ankita Bisht played a match-winning knock of 30 off 30 deliveries, guiding her team closer to the finish line. In the end, Yashika Baunthiyal (6*) and Kanika Negi (4*) held her nerve to see the side through, as Tehri Queens got over the line, sealing a 3-wicket win.
The Thunders bowlers made Tehri fight hard for every run. Tara Bisht impressed with figures of 2/11, while skipper Amisha Bahukhandi (1/12) and Pramila Rawat (1/23) also made important breakthroughs. Despite their disciplined bowling, Tehri’s middle-order depth and calm finish proved decisive.
With this win, Tehri Queens registered their 3rd straight win, continuing their unbeaten run. They meet Haridwar Storm in the Final, scheduled for September 26, at 3:00 PM IST.
