Mansi Joshi, leading the Mussoorie Thunder won the toss and elected to bat first. By the end of the 16th over, the Thunders were 75 for 4. Amisha Bahukhandi was brought on to bowl the 17th over, with Mansi Joshi on strike.

On the first ball of the over, Amisha delivered a fuller-length ball. Mansi stepped down the wicket and attempted to loft it over long-on but failed to make proper contact. The ball hung in the air towards the point region, where Ekta Bisht, stationed at point, sprinted forward and executed a brilliant dive to complete a sensational catch, dismissing Mansi Joshi.

Ekta Bisht’s incredible catch could potentially be the catch of the tournament in the Uttarakhand Women’s T20 League.

After being put into bat, the Thunder lost early wickets and were reduced to 4/14 within 5 overs. Keeper-batter Nandini Kashyap (45 off 41) and skipper Mansi Joshi (14 off 31) led a brief recovery, but both fell on consecutive deliveries with the score at 75. The Thunder eventually posted 96/8, with Gunjan Bhandari (2/14) and Ekta Bisht (2/19) taking two wickets apiece.

In reply, Nainital got off to a solid start with openers Megha Saini (26) and Manisha Pradhan (31*) putting up a 40-run stand. Deepika Chand’s 23 off 26 balls further accelerated the chase, and skipper Bisht fittingly, after that spectacular catch, alongside Manisha sealed the win with three overs and seven wickets in hand.
