It will be their maiden appearance in the ICC Women’s Under-19 World Cup. Nur Dania Syuhada has been named as the skipper for the upcoming tournament. The Malaysian young brigade, led by skipper Nur Dania Syuhada, was last involved in the inaugural edition of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Women’s Under-19 Asia Cup from 15th to 22nd December 2024. They were also the hosts of the tournament.

Malaysia had a disappointing campaign as they finished at the bottom of the points table with a couple of defeats from as many games in Group B in the league stages of the U19 Asia Cup.

Their 5th place play-off game against Pakistan was washed out. They would be keen to showcase their talent on the world stage and probably get a victory under their belt if they play to their potential in the upcoming edition of the ICC Women’s Under-19 World Cup.
