Theertha Satish’s unbeaten half-century powers the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to a thumping 9-wicket victory against Zimbabwe.
The United Arab Emirates led by skipper Esha Oza defeated Namibia led by skipper Sune Wittmann by four wickets in the 7th match of the Tri-series at the Wanderers Cricket Ground, Windhoek. Skipper Esha Oza was awarded the Player of the Match for her sensational all-round performance, returning with match figures (3-0-19-2), with the ball and scoring (21 off 30 balls) with the bat.
Zimbabwe led by skipper Chiedza Dhururu was all set to face the United Arab Emirates in the 8th match of the Tri-series at the Wanderers Cricket Ground, Windhoek. The UAE skipper Esha Oza won the toss and opted to field first. After being inserted to bat first, the Zimbabwe openers Beloved Biza and Kelis Ndhlovu got their side off to a solid start with a 62-run opening partnership.
Kelis Ndhlovu was found short of her crease to provide the first breakthrough for the United Arab Emirates. Beloved Biza soon followed her back to the pavilion to provide the 2nd breakthrough for UAE. Chipo Mugeri-Tiripano joined wicket-keeper batter Modester Mupachikwa at the crease and the duo stitched a crucial 18-run partnership for the 3rd wicket to take their side close to the 100-run mark. Samaira Dharnidharka picked up the wicket of the wicket-keeper batter Modester Mupachikwa to provide the 3rd breakthrough for her side.

Loryn Phiri soon followed her back to the pavilion to provide the 5th breakthrough for UAE.
Josephine Nkomo joined Chipo Mugeri-Tiripano at the crease and the duo stitched a much-needed 19-run partnership for the 6th wicket to take their side past the 130-run mark. Indhuja Nandakumar picked up the wicket of Josephine Nkomo to provide the 6th breakthrough for her side. Zimbabwe ended up with a total of 128/7 in their quota of overs.
