Players to watch out for
Lizelle Lee (Manchester Originals):
The South African opening bat had a positive start in her first game against Oval Invincibles. She top scored with 42 off 39 balls, including six boundaries. For the Originals, she will be the key as they will bank on her to provide them with a strong start.
Kate Cross (Manchester Originals):
She had a good game with bat and ball. Towards the end of the innings with the bat she played a 4-ball cameo muscling 12 runs, hitting one boundary and a six. With the ball, she picked up two wickets in two balls and was on a hat-trick. She was unlucky to miss out on one and ended her spell with 3-28 off 18 balls.
Evelyn Jones (Birmingham Phoenix):
The stylish left-hand bat top scored with 47 runs off 41 balls, including nine boundaries. She missed out on a well-deserved half-century but has shown her talent at the big stage. She came in on the 18th ball and was there till the 93rd ball, pacing her innings well and scoring off the loose deliveries.
Emily Arlott (Birmingham Phoenix):
The right-arm quick, who was a part of the England squad for the India series, grabbed her chance in the first game of the Hundred with both hands as she scalped 2-30 in 15 balls. She opened the bowling for the Phoenix. With the bat, she came in at number 4 and scored 8 runs off 7 balls, hitting one boundary. She has shown promise with both bat and ball in her first game.

There is an almost negligible chance of rain as the weather forecast predicts a low chance of precipitation. The average temperature is around 23 degrees celsius.
It is a good wicket for batting. The average score at the venue is 162 (based on 8 completed games in men’s T20I). Teams batting first have won only 2 out of the 8 games. Looking at the top wicket-takers on this pitch, four out of the five have been spinners, which indicates that the pitch has something in it for the slow bowlers.
