With the ball, she picked up two wickets in two balls and was on a hat-trick. She was unlucky to miss out on one and ended her spell with 3-28 off 18 balls.

The right-arm quick, who was a part of the England squad for the India series, grabbed her chance in the first game of the Hundred with both hands as she scalped 2-30 in 15 balls. She opened the bowling for the Phoenix. With the bat, she came in at number 4 and scored 8 runs off 7 balls, hitting one boundary. She has shown promise with both bat and ball in her first game.

Weather conditions

It is a 2.30 pm (local) start at the Emirates Old Trafford in Manchester. The weather looks good with sun shining through the second half of the day. There is an almost negligible chance of rain as the weather forecast predicts a low chance of precipitation. The average temperature is around 23 degrees celsius.

Pitch

It is a good wicket for batting. The average score at the venue is 162 (based on 8 completed games in men’s T20I). Teams batting first have won only 2 out of the 8 games. On this pitch, win the toss and opt to bowl first. Looking at the top wicket-takers on this pitch, four out of the five have been spinners, which indicates that the pitch has something in it for the slow bowlers.
