Sri Lanka is currently touring Ireland for a limited series. The tour got underway on 11th August with the 1st of two T20Is which was played in Dublin, and into its second leg, the ODIs are scheduled for action in Stormont. Ireland recorded their highest-ever ODI chase of 261 against Sri Lanka in the first ODI of the three-match series. Ireland elected to field first, & took advantage of the new ball, striking the in-form batters Chamari Athapaththu and Harshita Samarawickrama inside 10 overs. Vishmi Gunaratne was the top-scorer for Sri Lanka scoring 101 runs off 98 balls whereas Orla Prendergast was the top bowler for the host with three wickets. Later, in the second innings, the Irish all-rounder Orla also scored an unbeaten 122 off 107 balls to guide Ireland to a nail-biting chase of 261. Orla Prendergast was awarded with the Player of the Match award for her all-round contribution.
