Since her debut against England in Test at Taunton on June 27-30, 2022, skipper Laura Wolvaardt had faced challenges in the red-ball format, scoring only 44 runs across 4 innings. Today, she registered her maiden red-ball half-century in 160 balls, marking a significant achievement for the Proteas skipper.

Despite losing the ODI series by a 3-0 whitewash, Laura Wolvaardt has been in good form. She scored the most runs for her South African side, accumulating a total of 200 runs across 3 matches. In the second ODI, she scored an unbeaten 135 runs off 135 balls, but her team fell short by just 4 runs while chasing a huge total of 325 runs made by the Indian side.
