Players to watch out:
Dayalan Hemalatha
The 29-year-old batter amassed 199 runs from 6 outings in the recently concluded Senior Women’s T20 (SWT20) season. She scored her runs at a strike rate of 130.06, averaging 49.75, registering the highest of 98*. However, she couldn’t carry forward the same form into the Inter Zonals, departing on scores of 3(7), 0(2), and 21(26). It’ll be hoped she capitalizes on this return to form.
Rajeshwari Gayakwad
The 32-year-old off-spinner bagged 6 wickets in five ’23 SWT20 outings, maintaining an economy rate of 4.87. Continuing her form, Rajeshwari has been economical in the Inter Zonals but has only bagged a couple of wickets from 3 outings, returning figures of 0/32, 2/15, and 0/22. She’ll be backed to find her form and get back to her wicket-taking best.
Nabam Yapu
The pace all-rounder struggled to get going and be among the runs in the ’23 SWT20 trophy. However, come the Inter Zonals, she has managed starts consistently, registering scores of 9(12), 35(48), and 18(26). In her 2nd outing, she also finished with bowling figures of 1/25. It’ll be expected of her to make the most of the form she is in.
Debasmita Dutta
The 27-year-old all-rounder had a disappointing SWT20 campaign, failing to leave a mark with both the bat and ball. In the Inter Zonals, Debasmita had a quiet start with the bat, departing on scores of 1(10) and 8(29), but has recovered, registering a 24 in her most recent outing. In her only bowling outing, she produced bowling figures of 2/23. It’ll be watched if she can build on this momentum.

The Atal Bihari Vajpayee Cricket Stadium dishes a fairly balanced center wicket, but bowlers, especially spinners, hold the advantage. The average score at the venue is in the 90s; however, batters, if they spend enough time in the middle, can switch gears seamlessly.
