Hong Kong Women produced a strong all-round performance to beat Tanzania Women by 16 runs in the fourth match of the Women’s T20 Quadrangular Series in Namibia 2026 at the High Performance Oval in Windhoek on Wednesday, July 22, 2026. After being asked to bat first, Hong Kong posted 152/3 in 20 overs before restricting Tanzania to 136/5, earning two valuable points.
Hong Kong won the toss and decided to bat first. Their top order gave them a solid platform, with captain Natasha Miles and Mariko Hill putting together a useful opening partnership. Miles played a patient innings and scored 51 from 48 balls, hitting six fours. Hill also made an important contribution, scoring 34 from 37 deliveries with three fours and a six. Their efforts helped Hong Kong build a strong base before the middle order took charge.
Hill was dismissed in the 14th over when the score was 84, and captain Miles followed soon after at 90/2. Hong Kong, however, finished their innings strongly. Captain Neema Pius then tried to steady the innings but struggled to score quickly. She made 18 from 29 deliveries, with Tanzania reaching 55/2 at the end of the 10th over. Perice Kamunya added 22 from 24 balls and helped keep the chase alive. However, Hong Kong continued to take wickets at important moments, making it difficult for Tanzania to build a big partnership.
Hudaa Omary provided some late momentum with 18 from 13 balls, hitting two fours. Nasra Saidi then scored a quick 21 from 16 deliveries, including a four, but both batters were eventually run out. Agnes Qwele remained unbeaten on 21 from 20 balls, while Aisha Mohamed finished with six not out from five deliveries. Tanzania ended their 20 overs on 136/5, falling 16 runs short of the target. The victory was a complete team effort from Hong Kong.
