G. Ishimwe provided great intent at the top with a brisk 36 off 24 balls including 4 boundaries and 2 sixes, while wicketkeeper M. Uwase contributed a useful 19 off 15 balls. Lower down the order, H. Rwanda Women built their strong total of 179/6 through steady partnerships before experiencing a couple of quick strikes later in the innings. Brazil’s bowling effort was spearheaded by captain C. Nascimento, who was the standout performer with fantastic figures of 4 wickets for 29 runs from her 4 overs. M. Ribeiro provided good support, picking up 1 wicket for 27 runs in her 4 overs, while L. The remaining bowlers found it tougher to contain the runs; L. Moisés went wicketless but remained relatively steady, conceding 30 runs from 4 overs, whereas M. Artur gave up 36 runs in her 3 overs and L. Cardoso was expensive, leaking 25 runs from just 2 overs. Similar to the earlier innings, none of the six bowlers managed to bowl a maiden over.

Rwanda Women secured a comfortable 58 run victory after bowling out Brazil for 121 runs in 19.3 overs during their chase of 179/6. Opener L. Boas fought a lonely battle for Brazil, top-scoring with a steady 46 off 43 balls including 7 boundaries before being stumped by Merveille Uwase off Ruth Uwimana. L. Agatha was the only other top-order batter to make an impact with a quick 15 off 11 balls, while lower-order wicketkeeper M. Machado chipped in with a brisk, unbeaten 10 off just 4 balls.

The rest of the Brazilian lineup collapsed under heavy pressure, with captain C. Nascimento and L. Moisés both falling for 9, E. Muller and M. Artur managed 5 apiece, M. Ribeiro scoring 4, and both A. Sabino and M. Silva restricted to 1 run each, while L. Cardoso was dismissed for a golden duck. Brazil’s total was also assisted by 16 extras.

Brazil Women’s run chase of 179 crumbled under unrelenting pressure, as detailed by a steady fall of wickets that began collapsing early on. Rwanda’s bowling attack was masterfully led by captain M. Bimenyimana, who produced outstanding, highly economical figures of 3 wickets for just 10 runs in her 3.3 overs. H. Ishimwe acted as the chief destroyer by ripping through the batting to claim 4 wickets for 23 runs in her 4 overs, while R. Uwimana provided excellent support, picking up 2 wickets for 23 runs in her 4-over spell.

A. Ikuzwe also chipped in with a wicket, registering figures of 1/20 from 3 overs. Among the wicketless bowlers, R. Uwera delivered a tight 3 overs for 18 runs, while B. Murekatete proved to be the most expensive, leaking 23 runs from just 2 overs. Much like the previous encounters, none of the six deployed bowlers managed to deliver a maiden over.

For Rwanda, the match went well due to an explosive batting performance anchored by matching top scores of 45 from Utagushimaninde and Georgette, backed by an exceptional bowling display where H. Ishimwe and captain M. Bimenyimana combined to rip through the opposition with seven wickets. Conversely, everything went wrong for Brazil as their batting lineup collapsed under pressure with five players failing to score above 5 runs, leaving opener L. Boas entirely isolated in her lonely fight of 46 runs during the failed chase.
