The Captain innings from Knight helped Storm to seal their 7th consecutive win in KSL 2019 at Bristol on Tuesday.
On winning the toss, Western storm skipper chose to bat on a flat track. With the 6 wins in the kitty, they played fearless cricket. Opening the inning Priest and Mandhana had a decent start with a partnership of 43, later Mandhana was out on 24. For Storms, it was captain Knight and Fran Wilson fifties, helped them to reach 170. A partnership of 112 runs between them helped Storm to score 170/3 in 20 overs.
On chasing the target of 171, Vipers lost the Veteran, Bates for 2 by Davies. on another side, Wyatt continued her form from the last match scoring 56 runs. Though she played well rest of the batters did not score much and they were bundled out to 155 for 9 in 20 overs. Davies and Shrubsole bowled really well to get 4 and 3 wickets respectively. Which helped western storm to win by 15 runs.
With the win, Storm continues to be at number 1 on the points table and Vipers are placed at 3 on the points table.
