Summary:
Women in blue were more fearless as they already had series by their name, in the 5th T20 match, the Middle-order helped the side to build decent innings whereas the bowlers of the side restricted Windies women to double-digit score and India registered a whitewashing victory over West Indies women.

India women came on the field to bat first, the openers Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandhana went back to pavilion in quick successions while making 9 and 7 runs respectively, then came down the middle-order batters Jemimah Rodrigues and Veda Krishnamurthy who lead the innings with their hitting nature. Both of them registered their fifties, while Rodrigues making 50 runs in 56 balls while Veda smashed 57 runs in 48 balls. India Concluded their innings by putting up a total of 134 runs with the loss of 3 wickets in 20 overs. In the bowling unit, Windies were not so impressive with Matthews, Mohammed, and Alleyne picking up single wickets each.

Then came West Indies women to chase the score of 134 runs, They had a very unstable innings where the openers MC Lean and Knight made 9 and 22 runs respectively, down the order no one could help the side with a contribution while batting and the Indian bowlers took wickets quite often the whole time. Down the order, only Campbelle was the one to score in double digits making 19 runs. They fell short of overs and were outperformed by Indian bowlers as Anuja Patil grabbed a couple of wickets while Poonam Yadav, Harleen Deol, Radha Yadav, and Pooja Vastrakar picked up 1 wicket each. Such an all-round performance from the squad catalyzed India’s clean sweeping West Indies In their home. India Won the 5th T20 in 5 match series by 61 runs which resulted in the series looking like 5-0.

The visitors have outperformed hosts in the whole series either ODI or T20, Women in blue always emerged as a superior side and they proved it again this time. Veda Krishnamurthy was awarded with the player of the match for her squash buckling innings in the final match. Hosts wrapped up the West Indies tour on a great note while taking back home all the positive outcomes which will help them get better for the upcoming tournaments with a whole lot of confidence.
