Fresh off a successful T20 campaign, having amassed 342 runs from 12 outings, averaging 28.50 and striking at 133.07, she will be counted on to lead the scoring given her recent form.

Sophie Molineux

The 26-year-old left-arm off-spinner, from 11 ODIs, has bagged 22 wickets at an average of 11.77, an economy rate of 2.89, and recorded the best of 4/14, while also being handy with the bat. In a recent T20 competition, Sophie added 140 runs from 6 innings, at a strike rate of 155.55, while also bagging 16 wickets from 7 outings. She can be trusted to deliver all-round performances.

Smriti Mandhana

The 28-year-old opening batter has piled on 3,690 runs from 88 ODIs, at an average of 45.00, and has recorded as many as 27 fifties and eight centuries, with the highest score of 136. Smriti notched up three centuries in her previous six ODIs and, leading up to this series, displayed sublime form in a T20 competition. It is hoped she continues in this form, registering big scores.

Arundhati Reddy

The 27-year-old pacer, from four ODI appearances, has taken as many wickets and maintained an economy rate of 5.02. Arundhati has been in outstanding form lately, taking seven wickets from four outings in the 2024 Women’s T20 World Cup, and has been in rewarding form in the ongoing domestic season. She can be relied upon for breakthroughs and handy runs.

Pitch:

The wicket at Allan Border Field provides a certain degree of assistance to the batters. Although it is a batting-friendly surface, the average score at the venue remains in the 230s, indicating that there is assistance for bowlers, both spinners and pacers, to exploit.
