Players to watch out:
Charli Knott
The 21-year-old all-rounder had an outstanding stint in England over the past few months, particularly in the 9 One Dayers where she amassed 346 runs and scalped 16 wickets. However, Charli didn’t have as much success in the T20s this series, registering scores of 16, 22, and 19, alongside bowling figures of 0/26, 0/10, and 1/4, but she can be relied upon for improved all-round efforts.
Grace Parsons
The 20-year-old leg-spinner, averaging 19.90 and maintaining an economy rate of 4.58, bagged 20 wickets from 13 One Dayers in Australia’s premier domestic competition, the Women’s National Cricket League (WNCL), last season. Grace has carried the momentum into this season, producing figures of 4/30 and 2/18 in the T20s earlier this series and will be counted on for breakthroughs.
Shweta Sehrawat
The 20-year-old top-order batter, in the 2023-24 Senior Women’s One Day Trophy, India’s domestic competition, posted 462 runs on the board from 8 outings, at an average of 66.00 and a strike rate of 110.79, with a highest score of 242. On this tour, while Shweta only managed scores of 10, 13, and 15 in the T20s, she can be trusted to convert this string of starts into substantial scores.
Sayali Satghare
The 24-year-old bowling all-rounder, in the 2023-24 Senior Women’s One-Day Trophy, added 260 runs to the tally from 7 outings and secured 10 wickets from 6 innings, with bests of 100* and a 3-fer. Sayali had a notable start to this tour, returning figures of 2/27 and 0/24, and has also been handy with the bat. Though she didn’t feature in the 3rd T20, likely rested, she can be banked upon for the goods.
