Oval Invincibles led by skipper Lauren Winfield-Hill defeated Welsh Fire led by skipper Tammy Beaumont by six wickets in the 6th match of the tournament at Sophia Gardens, Cardiff. Manchester Originals led by skipper Sophie Ecclestone was all set to face Trent Rockets led by skipper Nat Sciver-Brunt in the 7th match of the tournament at Old Trafford, Manchester.
Trent Rockets skipper Nat Sciver-Brunt won the toss and opted to field first. After being inserted to bat first, Manchester Originals got off to a steady start, scoring at a run-a-ball. They lost the wicket of Laura Wolvaardt courtesy of a run-out. Emma Lamb joined Beth Mooney at the crease and the duo stitched a crucial 32-run partnership for the 2nd wicket to lead some sort of recovery for Manchester Originals.
