Vice Captain Tahlia McGrath was the one captaining the Aussies team in the absence of Healy. With that, she became the 18th woman player to captain the Australian side in the ODIs. Captain Healy suffered a fresh fracture to her left index finger while wicketkeeping in the 2nd ODI.

Earlier Healy had already fractured her right ring finger and left index figure in the warm-up game in Leicester, England. She somehow managed to play through the Ashes series, which they eventually retained. Healy got cleaned up on 24 against Ireland in the 2nd ODI off Georgina Dempsey. Healy now will have to wait for the West Indies series to complete her 250 international matches, Healy has currently played 249 matches for Australia.

Inform player Ellyse Perry suffered soreness in her left knee during her fantastic knock of 91 against Ireland in the 2nd ODI. Just like Healy, Perry got dismissed by Georgina Dempsey. Perry will require around 4-6 weeks of rest to be completely fit for playing the game. Perry has scored a total of 492 runs from her last 9 innings, having been dismissed in nervous 90’s 3 times in 9 innings. In these past 9 innings, Perry has failed to score double digits just once.
