Another lone battle by Harmanpreet scoring 60 off 51 fell short of the score by 15 runs.
The match was going in just 1 direction in the 1st innings, thanks to the aggressive batting by Hayley scoring 47 off just 22 balls with 7×4 & 1×6, till Poonam Yadav picked up her wicket in the 7th over with the score already a 61. Stafanie Taylor continued batting playing yet another Captains Knock with an unbeaten 44 of 55 balls. Kaycia Knight also contributed a Quick Fire 16 off 12 balls till she was also picked up by Poonam Yadav.
Jhulan Goswami 1 for 21 off 4 overs & 11 off 3, made sure that West Indies Women don’t pile a massive score.
But eventually, the 139 for 4 also turned out to be a bit high for India Women.
1st ball RunOut of R Vanitha only added to the problems. While S. Meghana tried to score aggressively, she lost Smriti Mandhana on 6 off 8 in the 4th over with the score on just 21. Meghana fell on 19 off 20, in the 6th over on the score off 32.
The scoring rate was as-it-is below par, with two new batters Veda Krishnamurthy & Harmanpreet Kaur (even though both very aggressive batters by nature) took a little too long settle in.
The score was 62 after 12 overs, 78 off 54 was a little difficult, the score din really pick up.
63 required off 36, Veda was finding difficult to score freely, but after scoring 32 off 38 balls Harmanpreet tried to cut lose & crossed 50 in 44 balls.
With the final 2 overs the required score 28, Veda was bogged down, & was not allowed to even rotate strike, only 3 runs came off the 19th over.
The Indian Women’s Cricket Team eventually ended the innings at 124 for 3 in 20 overs.
Indian Women Vs West Indies women T20 series ends with Indian being white-washed, showing why they are the world T20 Champions.
