The 2nd edition of the FairBreak Global Twenty20 (T20) competition is due to get underway on the 4th of April and has its Final scheduled for the 16th of April. The tournament for its 2nd edition will return to its original home, Hong Kong and with efforts of Cricket Hong Kong (CHK) the tournament will be conducted at the Kowloon Cricket Club.
FairBreak has released the match officials list which sees the vastly experienced, Simon Taufel, as the mentor umpire. Steve Bernard, and female umpire – Shandre Fritz are appointed as the match referees. Tabarak Dar, John Valiakalayil, Sarika Siva Prasad, and Kalidas Viswanand are the male umpires at the 2023 Hong Kong FairBreak.
Claire Polosak, Lauren Agenbag, Anna Harris, Jacqueline Williams, Gayathri Venugopalan, Humaira Farah, and Shivani Mishra are the remaining 7 women officials who’ll be umpiring the games. FairBreak too is nearing its all-female field presence and the same, rightly is growing to be a new normal that first was seen during the 2022 Women’s Asia Cup and then at the 2023 Women’s 2023 T20 World Cup.

Claire Polosak, Anna Harris, Lauren Agenbag, and Jacqueline Williams are the four umpires who were seen officiating games during the 2023 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, and Gayathri Venugopalan, Humaira Farah, and Shivani Mishra among others were seen at the Women’s Asia Cup games in Sylhet, Bangladesh.
The FairBreak is cricket’s and especially associate crickets’ future as the league features 90 cricketers from 36 different countries and territories and the Asia community is 36 of these 90. The International Cricket Council (ICC) full member nations, the East Asia Pacific Region, and parts of the Asian Cricket Council make up the Asia community.
FairBreak is shaping up to be one of the best women’s T20 franchise tournaments with an early expansion as it’s all set for an additional tournament in 2023. A 2nd dose of FairBreak will be on display in collaboration with Cricket (USA) United States of America and will be played in Houston, Texas from the 15th to the 30th of September 2023.
