The Canadian skipper Rabbjyot Rajput won the toss and opted to field first at St George’s College Ground, Buenos Aires. The home side lost both their openers, Albertina Galan and skipper Maria Castiñeiras, inside the powerplay and were eventually reduced to 24/3 in the 7th over of the innings.

Argentina posted 99/4 in their quota of 15 overs. The innings had as many as 10 extras.

Chasing a target of 100, Canada lost the wicket of their opening batter Krima Kapadia for a two-ball duck on the 3rd ball of the run chase. Harper Chalmers joined Achini Perera at the crease, and the duo settled the nerves with a 20-run stand for the 2nd wicket. Ana Dei Castelli broke the stand, by sending the opening batter Achini Perera back to the pavilion in the 5th over of the run chase to provide the 2nd breakthrough for the home side.
A 25-run stand for the 5th wicket between the wicket-keeper batter Khadeeja Fatima (21 off 23 balls) and Harper Chalmers (21 off 30 balls) took them past the 50-run mark, giving them an outside chance in the run chase. An unfortunate run-out ended Harper Chalmers stay at the crease in the 12th over of the run chase, providing the 5th breakthrough for Argentina.
Canada were eventually restricted to 78/7 in their quota of 15 overs, falling 21 runs short of the target. Vritti Dahiya (15* off 11 balls) was the only other batter to enter the double digits with the bat for Canada. Ana Dei Castelli (2-0-10-2), Malena Lollo (3-0-12-1), Albertina Galan (3-0-13-1), and Alina Emch (3-0-13-1) were the top performers with the ball for Argentina.
Julia Andujar was awarded the Player of the Match for her blockbuster knock of 31* (16 balls) towards the backend of the innings for Argentina. Her knock included a couple of boundaries and maximums, playing a crucial role as Argentina took a 4-1 lead in the series.
